Saving a draft does not send it to Coverlane or start a search. Coverlane stores submitted answers and forwarded emails. We use email forwarding and mailbox services to receive and store the quotes you send us.
You can remove the device draft through Save & return and keep answers in the current tab only. Browser drafts are available only in this browser on this device, and clearing browser data removes them. Use Start over at the top of the page to clear your current answers and browser drafts. A request download includes your personal answers. Keep it private. Creating a forwarding address sets a seven-day session cookie to retrieve the emails for your request. Clearing your browser answers disconnects that session; it does not delete received emails or previously submitted comparisons.
We use your registration with a vehicle information service when you choose Find my car and to check MOT history automatically on the cover step. This helps us suggest annual mileage for you to review. Your other questionnaire answers are not shared for these lookups.
Choosing Save and start comparison sends the necessary driver, vehicle and cover details to the supported comparison sites. A separate per-case forwarding address receives the resulting quote emails. A comparison site may need more information before it can return quotes. We’ll ask for it here. Prices and policy conditions need checking before you buy. No payment is taken and no fee is due from running a search.
This clears your answers and any draft saved in this browser, and disconnects this forwarding session. Downloaded files, received emails and submitted comparisons are kept.
